Highgate Cemetry #2




The good folk of Highgate, for some reason,


had a gothic streak a mile long when it came to burying their dead,


and the overgrown cemetery is a chaos of broken angels, Egyptian catacombs, baroque statuary, and sinister hooded monks.


It is also the burial place of Karl Marx. A slightly morbid excursion, perhaps,


but also one of the most exciting and bizarre outdoor spaces in London.
